A Short History of GreenPan
GreenPan was launched in 2007 by school friends Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman. At that time, Teflon was the leading nonstick cookware, but it came with a significant downside: toxic synthetic chemicals in its PTFE coating. Helskens and De Veirman aimed to create a non-toxic alternative, leading to the development of Thermolon

The Health Risks of Traditional Nonstick Cookware
Understanding the benefits of non-toxic cookware requires recognizing the pitfalls of traditional nonstick options. When heated above 500°F, PTFE can decompose and emit toxic particles and gases, which can lead to serious health issues.
