Hamdan Hadad, the father and a cook at Love Aid Singapore, expressed his deep appreciation for the support his family received from the organization. Love Aid Singapore has been delivering cooked meals to residents in both northern and southern Gaza for nearly two years, especially during times of severe food shortages.
In a heartfelt video shared by Gilbert Goh, the founder of Love Aid Singapore, Hamdan explained how his wife relied on the charity’s meals throughout her pregnancy. "I want to name her Singapore because I really love them," he said, cradling his newborn daughter.
The charity confirmed the name through a photo of the baby’s birth certificate posted on Instagram. They described the gesture as a testament to the extraordinary bond formed between aid workers and families who depend on their services for survival. In their post, Love Aid Singapore wished the child good health and expressed hope for a brighter future, emphasizing the desire for a lasting ceasefire in the region.
“Thank you, Singaporeans, for standing on the right side of humanity with me all this while. Love Aid Singapore – where humanity has no race, religion, and border,” the organization stated.
