In the 120th Episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the global recognition that yoga and traditional Indian medicine are gaining. With less than 100 days to go for Yoga Day, he urged people to embrace yoga as a way to improve their health and well-being.
Yoga Day, celebrated on the 21st of June, has evolved into a grand festival of yoga since its inception 10 years ago. The theme for Yoga Day 2025 is ‘Yoga for One Earth One Health’, highlighting the goal of promoting global health through the practice of yoga. The Prime Minister encouraged individuals who have not yet incorporated yoga into their lives to start now, emphasizing that it is never too late to begin reaping the benefits of this ancient practice.
During the summer months, when days are long and children have more free time, the Prime Minister suggested using this opportunity to develop new hobbies and skills. He recommended participating in volunteer activities and service endeavors, as well as joining summer programs organized by schools, organizations, or science centers. These programs offer a wide range of courses, from technology camps to speech and drama classes, providing children with valuable learning experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting.
In addition to promoting yoga, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of traditional Indian medicine, particularly the use of Mahua flowers in various regions of the country. In Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, cookies made from Mahua flowers have gained popularity, thanks to the efforts of four sisters from Rajakoh village. Similarly, in Adilabad district of Telangana, two sisters have conducted experiments with Mahua flowers, showcasing the diverse applications of this traditional ingredient.

By encouraging individuals to incorporate these practices into their daily lives, he aims to promote a healthier and more balanced lifestyle for people across the country and around the world.
