Wegmans Recognized as a Top Employer for Company Culture in the U.S.

Date:

Over 70 New York companies, including Wegmans, have been recognized as some of the best employers for company culture in the country, according to a recent study by business magazine Forbes and market research firm Statista.

To compile their inaugural “America’s Best Employers for Company Culture” list, more than 218,000 workers employed at U.S. companies with at least 1,000 employees were surveyed. Participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their current and previous employers, as well as other companies they knew within their industry or through friends and family.

The collected data, along with survey responses from the past three years, was analyzed using a scoring system that weighted more recent data and responses from current employees more heavily. Ultimately, 600 U.S. companies with the highest scores made the final ranking, including 73 from New York.

“The best employers are adept at creating a unifying company culture that inspires a sense of purpose and loyalty among employees,” Forbes states.

Here’s a closer look at how New York-based companies fared on this prestigious list.
