Dubai, UAE – Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, recently made headlines with a visit to Google’s regional headquarters in Dubai, where he engaged with executives and explored the tech giant’s latest advancements in artificial intelligence.
In a captivating video shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Sheikh Hamdan is seen interacting with Google staff, highlighting the significance of such collaborations in bolstering Dubai’s economic vision. “Today, I visited Google’s Dubai offices, where I explored their latest artificial intelligence initiatives,” he stated. “We take pride in our longstanding partnerships with global technology leaders who have chosen Dubai as their regional hub.”
The Crown Prince emphasized the importance of these collaborations in reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global digital economy hub, aligning with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. “These efforts reflect the UAE’s vital role as a key partner in shaping the future of global digital and technological transformation,” he added.
Who is Sheikh Hamdan?
Sheikh Hamdan has served as the Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008 and holds the positions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence for the United Arab Emirates. Known affectionately as “Fazza,” he is the second son of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. Beyond his royal duties, Sheikh Hamdan is celebrated for his innovative leadership and active engagement in public life, often sharing glimpses of his personal and professional experiences on social media.
A Growing Royal Family
In his personal life, Sheikh Hamdan married Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum in 2019, a union that coincided with the weddings of his brothers. The couple recently welcomed their fourth child, a daughter named Hind, in late March, honoring Sheikh Hamdan’s mother with her name. They are also proud parents to twins, Sheikha and Rashid, born in May 2021, and a son, Mohammed, born in February 2023.
