In a heartwarming post, Revathi, an environmentalist and veena player, shared a photo of herself dressed elegantly in a pink saree while standing inside the women’s coach of the metro. “Travelling in the metro is so much convenient and that too in the female compartment! #nammametro,” she captioned the image, resonating with many commuters who appreciate the city’s public transport system.
Revathi’s post comes just three months after her sons surprised her with a luxurious Mercedes GLS, valued at over ₹1.5 crore. The gift was presented in a traditional manner, complete with rituals, showcasing the family’s deep-rooted values. “My sons today gifted me a new car, and here also I received car keys this way and one more Peta and shalu,” she shared, proudly displaying her traditional attire while accepting the keys.
Beyond her family’s affluence, Revathi Kamath is known for her commitment to environmental conservation. She has planted over one lakh trees and played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Somanahalli Lake in Kanakapura, Karnataka. Her efforts transformed the lake from a state of decline into a thriving ecosystem, benefiting 28 acres of land and recharging numerous borewells and open wells.
